Monday 22nd November

A beautiful crisp November day greeted us this morning as half a dozen members rendezvoused on the petanque pitch.   The sun shone on us and we had reasonable shelter from the light breeze with the help of two hedges and the library itself. 

Easily dividing into two teams of ladies and laddies the former kicked off and scored a one point start.   And then a second point.....and then another two before the laddies managed to recover a single point.   And then another but to no avail as the ladies roared away to a grand win with 13 points against 7.    We’ll have one last game this year (weather permitting) on the 6th December again at 10.15 am on the pitch behind the library.
