Another good turnout of 8 of us this morning. A quick division between ladies and laddies (with Pat Purse kindly changing her gender) and we were off. The ladies had a skilful start and were 10/nil up before the laddies managed to steal back 8points but lost 13/8 by the end.
We decided there was time for another short game and this time (thanks to our honorary laddie) the fair sex were not so fortunate and lost 8 points to 2.
Anyway, we don’t take ourselves seriously: it was a fun morning with the usual plenty of laughs and we managed to miss the rain by at least 15 minutes, so all is good.
Haven’t managed to encourage any new players yet but we hope to see some of you as the weather improves. So same time, same place , same date next month - unless anyone wants to call an ad hoc game before then.
